What sinks AI projects is rarely the model. It is the missing guard rails. So I bring a working foundation into every engagement.

AI-native engineering

I built my own framework for AI-assisted development: machine-readable specifications (AGENTS.md, SKILL.md, SPEC.md) that keep coding agents anchored to the architecture, coding standards and business requirements. No code merges without review, tests and performance checks.

Security as the default

AI agents run with least privilege and clearly bounded capabilities. No credentials in code, secrets only from Key Vault or Secrets Manager, human approval before high-impact actions — and a complete audit trail of every model call.

GDPR & European data residency

Personal data is detected and anonymised before any text reaches an external model. Region-locked routing, hosting in Germany and strict tenant isolation through row level security are part of the architecture, not an afterthought.

Independent of any vendor

Models for OCR, generation and embeddings sit behind an abstraction layer with a registry, fallback chains and cost control. Switching provider is a configuration change — not a rewrite.

Architecture and development of intelligent document ingestion, RAG retrieval with source citations and model-agnostic routing across OCR, generation and embeddings. Includes PII scrubbing before any external model call, role-based access and tenant-isolated data.

Developed a .NET MCP server and an Akka.NET state machine driving communication workflows. Integrated Cognigy, MCP and OpenAI, provisioned Azure resources with Bicep and set up CI/CD in Azure DevOps on Azure Kubernetes Service.

Owning the architecture. Building the team.

Overall technical responsibility for the software architecture, and leadership of the engineering team across on-site and offshore locations.

Owned the target architecture across several products — interfaces and data models, technology decisions, coding standards, review culture and the release process. Designed the architecture for the fleet management and GPS data systems, and led the company-wide knowledge platform.

Technical leadership of two Scrum teams staffed on site and offshore: building the team, onboarding and mentoring new engineers, establishing shared ways of working across time zones, and working closely with product management and the management board.

For more than 15 years I have built enterprise software — from backend systems and cloud platforms to modern AI applications. I connect architecture with hands-on implementation, taking projects from a business idea to a solution that actually runs.

I work independently from Germany’s Rhine-Main region, communicating fluently in German and English. Away from the keyboard, you’ll find me playing football, running or volunteering as a youth football coach in Weiterstadt.
